The work of the ESTL1917CCCI was to recognize the centennial of the 1917 pogrom. We did this through a series of cooperative events in 2017. These include the SACRED SITES project and the HISTORICAL MARKER project.

This footage, from the National Archives, is the only known footage from the 1917 pogrom. The opening scene is the ruins of the Broadway Opera House in the 700 block of Broadway in downtown ESTL. Thank you Professor Geoffrey Ward of Washington University for preserving many old website files.
